Dear Central High School Wildcats Alumni Association, I am thrilled to share some exciting news with our beloved Wildcats community! We have been awarded a Black Voters Matter grant in the amount of **$1,500** to support our Get Out the Vote (GOTV) and education efforts for the upcoming Presidential election. This grant will empower us to further engage our community, educate our voters, and ensure that every voice is heard when it matters most. Carnegie Hall

Congratulations to the LeFlore Rattlers Choir. This June, they will take their talents to midtown Manhattan for the performance of a lifetime at Carnegie Hall.

The choir is scheduled to perform on June 8th. Until then, they will host fundraisers to help raise money for the trip.

Greetings, classmates. I pray you and your loved ones are doing well. If you were unable to participate in the Zoom call Sunday, here's an update regarding our upcoming 55th Class Reunion, scheduled for the weekend of November 17, 2023, in conjunction with Central Weekend.

The planning committee is making great strides to ensure this occasion is memorable and a good time is had by all.

FRIDAY ACTIVITIES: Meet and Greet, Banquet at Heron County Club (formerly Skyline County Club).

SATURDAY: Parade, Block Party, Maroon and White Scholarship Ball.

SUNDAY: All Class Church Service @ New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church,
Pastor Clinton L. Johnson, Sr.

Classmates' cost for the weekend is $150. 55th Class Reunion Celebration

Hello Everyone,

 I hope you are all well during this busy holiday season. If you're like me, you're trying to get in that last minute shopping. Now that Central Weekend is behind us, it's time to focus on our 55th Class Reunion Celebration.

It was my hope to update you all tomorrow, on our Zoom call, but since we're not having it, I still wanted to touch base. Previously, I relayed a tentative date of Memorial Day weekend. However, that date is now being reconsidered. I have gotten several suggestions in regards to activities and dates. If you have a suggestion or something specific you'd like to do, please do not hesitate to contact me. All suggestions, within reason, will be taken into consideration.

As this year's theme, ABOUT US, suggests, our celebration is about all of us. So, weigh in with ideas. More information will be available on our next call. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me at:

Hello Class of '68, Mighty Wildcats...

Thank you for giving me the opportunity
to serve as your 55th Year Class Reunion Chairperson.
Please know this is not a "Me" event
but an "Us" opportunity.
We certainly want to work and pull
things together as one.
Our theme for this 55th Year
Class Reunion is
"About Us!"

As Chairperson, my desire is that all
our ideas and thoughts be reflected in this celebration.
Please get those creative juices flowing
and let me know as soon as possible
any suggestions you may have.
All input will be taken seriously.

Because this is a signature Reunion
and the activities have not yet been
decided, I would like for our class to
celebrate independently of
the regularly scheduled Central Weekend.
This makes the total focus
on us and "About Us!"

Although nothing has yet been
written in stone, please
think along with me about considering
alternative dates such as Memorial Day
or Fourth of July weekends.
This will allow our classmates
who must travel an extra day.

Hello Classmates,
First Baptist Church Fairfield is awaiting your visit with much anticipation. There will be several things going on at the church on the 5th Sunday in June but none will overshadow your visit with us. We will be having a non-traditional church service " Praise in the Parking Lot" so dress vey cool and casual. Church service begin at 10:05 a.m

After church the class will meet in the Church's Fellowship hall for the class meeting and a light snack. After the meeting we will go to Grille 21 Restaurant, lunch.
I regret that I will be traveling on Friday and will not be in Bham until late Friday. Please enjoy some Birmingham sites and amenities.

On Saturday (6/29) we will "Celebrate the Wonderful Us" at
Jazzy's on 1st a Jazz Bar and Restrurant
( similar to Kazoolla's in Mobile) The address for Jazzy's is
2215 1st Avenue N.
